We've done many remodels and renovations in the past, but this was our first custom home build and Goldcon delivered! From the consult stage to design and build, I can't say enough about how professional, supportive, accommodating, and punctual this team was. The end product was exactly what we had dreamt of and beyond! It's very rare in this era to find builders who can stay on budget and schedule, but Karim and Kav at Goldcon made sure that there were no surprises along the way (beyond the absolutely unavoidable and uncontrollable - no project is without a few bumps in the road, but it's how this team dealt with them is what puts them at the top of their league). Would highly recommend Goldcon for any renovation, remodel, or custom home build.

Working with Kaveh and Karim was a great experience from beginning to end. They work very hard to manage your needs, the trades involved in the project and make sure it is as seamless as possible especially during the time we did our renovation on our home. During a time of supply chain issues, they lined up the trades to keep the timelines on point even after we added more work to the scope, they made sure it was sorted. On top of that, they were very responsive to our needs and kept in communication with us daily. Kav, Karim, and the team at Goldcon Construction are absolutely amazing. Words really cannot describe how grateful we are to Goldcon - but since this is a Google review, I will try my best to paint a picture of how we worked together.Doing construction on a new build or a gut renovation is not easy. Despite having done minor renovations on other properties, this was the biggest renovation we had done to date and we were very nervous about spending so much money.Prior to selecting Goldcon, we had interviewed about 15 contractors. All of them were great sales people, they all sounded like they knew what they were doing, so narrowing it down was difficult. We eventually got it down to 3 companies (Goldcon and 2 others) and signed up to a design document with 1 of them that was not Goldcon.By the time we had finished the materials list with the other company, we realized that it was already out of date. With supply shortages and limited materials during COVID, it was nearly impossible to get exactly what you want in a reasonable amount of time. This made the quoting process extremely difficult for the 3 companies presenting bids.Typically in construction the contractors will charge a "Cost Plus" model or a "Fixed Price". For fixed price, you need to have a perfectly crafted scoping document so you know exactly what you are paying for. For "Cost Plus" you are paying a percentage on top of the cost of the project.Virtually all the contractors wanted to use a Cost Plus Model given all the uncertainties with supplies and labour. I just didn't like this idea because it didn't feel like the contractors would make an effort to negotiate the best price for us.Goldcon was one of the only contractors that was willing to do a fixed price for the build - but they were concerned that we would need to submit a variety of change orders if the supplies that we had chosen were out of stock. So we decided to settle on a fixed management fee and pay Goldcon in installments that were tied to milestones reached.As soon as we signed on the dotted lines, they got to work. And they worked fast.Trades were organized extremely efficiently, one after another.Multiple quotes were presented to us for each trade and they often were able to get their existing partners to match prices of lower price suppliers.Design ideas were brought to the table and discussed at length, but very quickly and efficiently.Communication was effortless, we setup a WhatsApp group and kept a history of all the things we discussed.When we had a difference of opinion, they always reverted back to "It's your house, you have whatever you like, but we just think XYZ would make the most sense". This was reassuring to us and most of the times we ended up going with their suggestions and it paid off.At no point in the process did we feel like we were being bullied into doing something or were we uncomfortable with the process.So overall, there are 100's of reasons to choose Goldcon and ZERO reasons to work with someone else.If you are looking for a builder for a new house or to do a larger renovation, Goldcon is the only company that I would recommend.I would be happy to speak with anyone personally that is interested in hiring them and would be thrilled to be a reference. These guys built a custom home for me. I have had experience with several builders in the lower mainland. I had interviewed numerous builders prior to going ahead with Goldcon to complete my project. I 100% made the right choice in doing so. I would choose them again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anyone who is looking to renovate or build a home. I contracted them to build a home but what they ended up providing was peace of mind and attention to detail I have not experienced elsewhere. They did things as promised, on time, as well as on budget. They always had my best interest throughout the process. This is not often seen amongst builders. The quality of the work from them and their subcontractors was better than I expected. These guys were on site extensively ensuring execution. They are meticulous and you can tell they take pride in their work. In the rare event there was an error it was rectified quickly. The value these guys provide is intangible and they are worth every penny. Excellent work gentlemen!

We engage Goldcon Construction for our home's renovation. We are not engaging Goldcon via referral. We studied their website and found houses after their renovations look fresh and modern. We have a meeting with the team (Karim and Kaveh) to have a deeper understanding about the company and their way of work, as well as compared with some other contractors before formally contracting Goldcon. During the renovation process, we found them very nice, patient, reactive and professional. We're happy that apart from doing what we request, they would try to offer alternatives for our consideration in order to hopefully make the overall results turn out even better. Townhome RenovationWe just had Goldcon Construction complete the renovation of our townhome and we are thrilled with the results! It is exactly what we asked for. I wish that we had known about Goldcon Construction before we had renovations done in our kitchen and 2 bathrooms. as I would have definitely hired them. When we decided to renovate our master bathroom, we had 3 companies come and give us a quote and timeline. The main reason I picked Goldcon Construction was because of Karim and Kaveh, who asked questions about what I was wanting to do, wanting it to look like, and then they made some suggestions which had me thinking differently about what I really wanted done. The other reason was their quote. We’ve never seen a quote so detailed! We received quotes from a number of contractors and decided on Goldcon based on the transparent quote and pricing, but also positive references from previous clients. Karim is very professional to work with, responds quickly to questions and concerns, and lives up to his commitments. No surprises. There was someone working in our townhouse nearly every single day, and our kitchen was completed (demo to finishings) in only four weeks! Quite frankly we did not know what to expect, being new at kitchen renovations and attendant consultants and general contractors. In the end we made the best choice. I’ll try and do this without sounding like a paid review. I’ll start by saying I am picky guy with attention detail and our family undertook a total renovation of the main floor and upstairs of our house. That being said Goldcon both met and exceeded our expectations. Having done a few renos over the years, it always seemed a trade off between quality, price and timeline. These guys stayed within their budget, working with us through revisions as the project progressed, delivered an amazing result with attention to detail, and then somehow managed to do it ahead of what we expected their delivery date to be, and right on time based on their estimate, something we thought they said to land the contract. What a nice surprise it was!Karim and Kaveh, are approachable, easy to work with and even the hard conversations (because we all know that inevitably there are hard conversations during major renos) were worked through pleasantly and to satisfaction.I cannot recommend them highly enough!
